Loh Sea Keong is the First Malaysian to Win A UCI Asia Tour Race

PUTRAJAY (30 June 2013) 每 Malaysia's Loh Sea Keong emerged the winner of the 50th anniversary edition of the Jelajah Malaysia following a final stage from Bukit Katil to Putrajaya won by Azerbaijan's Samir Jabra Yilov today.

OCBC Singapore rider Sea Keong, 27, is the first Malaysian ever to win a UCI ASia Tour race overall, while also sweeping the Asian and Malaysian riders' classification wins.

The race also saw a clean sweep of all jerseys on offer by Malaysian riders with brothers Harrif and Zamri Saleh of the Terengganu Cycling Team taking the points and mountains classification wins respectively.

"This is the best moment of my career. It was unexpected, but my team worked really hard to protect my lead once I got the yellow jersey. So I really have to thank them for this," said Sea Keong.

"I have to thank all my teammates whether they were in this team for the Jelajah Malaysia or not, because they have all helped me become a better rider. My family has also supported me all the way." MORE >>

STAGE 3 - Harrif Gets Victory and the Green Jersey

PONTIAN (28 June 2013) 每 Terengganu Cycling Team's Harrif Saleh grabbed the green jersey for the points classification lead after winning Stage 3 of the Jelajah Malaysia from Batu Pahat to Pontian, Johor today. REMBAU (26 June 2013) - Synergy-Baku Cycling Project's Kiril Pozdnyakov took victory in Stage 1 of the Jelajah Malaysia from the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil to Rembau yesterday.
